Polish accents at the Internet2 Community Exchange 2024

This year’s meeting of the prestigious Internet2 consortium took place on March 4-7 2024 in Chicago. The event, called the Internet2 Community Exchange, brings together a large, international research and education community focused on innovation and technology. The meeting was attended by representatives of the Poznan Supercomputing and Networking Center.

This year’s edition addressed important current issues such as: the policy implications and impact of new developments in network operations, identity management, cloud computing services, information security and how growing research demands are driving innovation. Topics related to AI and quantum technologies were also part of the discussion.

The event was attended by Dr Cezary Mazurek, Director of PSNC, and Dr Ivana Golub, WP6 Work Package Leader in the GÉANT project. The Internet2 meeting was not only an opportunity to present the work carried out in the GÉANT 5-1 project, on the development of the network, but also to share experiences and hold joint discussions. During the event, a new consortium called MetrANOVA was presented, which aims to create a set of measurement and analysis tools for research and education networks worldwide.
