Pozitive Technologies 2021

The third edition of the conference for IT professionals – Pozitive Technologies 2021, organised by the City of Poznan, took place on 18 November 2021. The event focused on five thematic tracks, such as cyber security, data processing and archiving. One of the invited speakers was Pawel Berus from the ICT Security Department at PSNC.

The conference, which was attended by nearly a thousand people, included 50 lectures. Participants learnt about the practical application, examples of technological implementations as well as good practices. There were also two debates with the participation of experts. Presentations by invited guests took place on five stages (and the main stage) and were divided into thematic tracks.

The presentation “From the analyst’s bestiary – audit, pentest, security assessment” was presented by Pawel Berus – a specialist from PSNC ICT Security Department. It focused on topics related to audits and security, and showed how important the role of security tests is. On the example of software error statistics and security tests “from our own backyard”, Pawel Berus proved the validity of such tests. People who are less familiar with the subject of security tests found the explanation of basic differences between particular types of tests. Moreover, the issue of choosing an appropriate audit approach was discussed or the case of a possible outsourcing of an audit to an external company. The presentation closed with issues related to the implementation of a comprehensive approach to security and tips on how to conduct security projects.
