Press release regarding the unavailability of the results checking function in the Nabór system

The incident of the unavailability of the Nabór system function concerning the process of checking the allocation results on 20.07.2022 from 10:00-12:30 was the result of the imposition of several technical factors. One of the most important was the implementation of earlier, necessary configuration changes to our systems related to increased cybersecurity procedures.

The system mistakenly (hypersensitively) assessed the simultaneous inflow of a large number of users at one point in time as a hacking attack (DDOS) and cut off access to the public section via the WWW. In addition, the implementation of login via the National Node increased the service time for a single user. After the settings were changed, the waiting queue was successively handled and the recruitment data was transmitted to the end users. At the same time, uninterrupted access to the system for educational institutions was maintained. We would like to emphasise that we have managed to avoid similar problems so far, over the nearly 20 years of the platform’s operation. We take the incident very seriously and will immediately implement the appropriate configuration changes so that unavailability of such key platforms as Nabór does not happen in the future.
