PSNC Digital Future Talks: Drones and the digital airport – about new technologies in the air and at the Kąkolewo airport

What is a digital airport and will unmanned aerial vehicles soon serve as air taxis? What is their role in industry, defence and humanitarian aid? And will anyone be able to get a licence to fly a drone? Find the answers to these questions and more in the latest episode of the PSNC Digital Future Talks.

In this episode, the topic is discussed by Piotr Szymaniak and Reserve Colonel Miroslaw Nawrocki from the PSNC Aerospace Lab in Kąkolewo, an innovative laboratory where applications of information systems for unmanned aerial vehicles and related robotic solutions are tested. Its mission is to increase the level of safety in the air and on the ground, and its work focuses on increasing the level of automation and autonomy of cyber-physical systems.

The PSNC laboratory is part of NATO’s DIANA accelerator programme, which aims to bring together R&D, innovators and start-ups working on ground-breaking, deep-tech solutions with the potential for dual-use applications in the civilian and military markets.

The interview is hosted by Gabriela Jelonek and Bartek Lewandowski.
