PSNC IoT department prints 3D visors for hospitals in Poznań
PSNC IoT department joined the action “3D visors for Poznan hospitals”, organized by a firefighter from Poznan, (Jezyce district) Bartosz Urbanski. So far, thanks to a joint action of many companies, institutions and volunteers – 767 visors have been delivered to Poznań hospitals.
The action started on March 22, 2020 with a social media post. The idea was to use 3D printers to print an element of the visor and to cut the covers out with a laser, according to the already proven PRUSA project. A few days later, Devil Design provided a filament – a material used in the 3d prnting process. Thanks to the extraordinary commitment and determination of B&M company, which brought in the PET covers which were missing on the market, the first prints could be started.

PSNC IoT department, thanks to the IoT laboratory equipped with 3D printers, declared full readiness to help. The firefighters themselves assemble the visors based on the printed head mounts, stiffeners and the curtains cut from PVC plates, which are already drilled and handed over to them by the participating companies and institutions in Poznań.
