QL Future Hackathon 2024

It was a quantum weekend at PSNC Future Labs! For two days on 13 and 14 April, quantum technology enthusiasts competed in the second edition of the QL Future Hackathon. The event was organised by PSNC Future Labs in collaboration with Orca Computing, Capgemini, IBM and ID Quantique. Teams had 24 hours to come up with an innovative idea or technology solution in the areas of people, planet and climate.

The event was attended by 60 daredevils: undergraduate and postgraduate students from Poznan University of Technology, Adam Mickiewicz University, Wroclaw University of Science and Technology, Warsaw University of Technology, University of Gdansk and Vilnius University. For several challenges related to safety and health in the broadest sense, participants could choose either a “technical” or a “conceptual” track.

Five of the seventeen competing teams used the power of a quantum computer in their projects. Prizes were awarded in the following categories

TECH category:
