Report 2023: summary of the jubilee year
We invite you to read the PSNC 2023 Annual Report, which not only summarises the activities of the Poznan Supercomputing and Networking Center over the past year, but also marks the twelve-month celebration of the 30th anniversary of the PSNC’s activities and the 20th anniversary of the PIONIER Consortium.

The report presents three areas of technology that have become hallmarks of 2023; the first chapter entitled “Full of Innovation” summarises the areas of communications and quantum computing, aerospace and autonomy, and cyber security. The remaining chapters present selected projects and discuss the main challenges of the past twelve months.

The report also includes interesting interviews with prominent specialists who talk about how modern technologies are changing and will change in the future:

• Finance – interview with Krzysztof Antczak, Director of the Wielkopolska Region of Bank Gospodarstwa Krajowego in Poznań,
• health – interview with Prof. Dr Michał Nowicki, Vice-Rector for Research and International Relations of the Karol Marcinkowski Poznan University of Medical Sciences,
• art – interview with Tomasz Łęcki, Director of the National Museum in Poznań,
• cities – interview with Michał Łakomski, Plenipotentiary of the Mayor of Poznań for Smart City Issues and Director of Digitization and Cybersecurity Department of the City of Poznań.

We also discuss open science issues with AMU Prof. Michael Klichowski, Plenipotentiary of the AMU Rector for Open Science, Director of the Cognitive Neuroscience Center and Head of the AMU Learning Laboratory.
