SCA23: inaugural meeting of the Alliance of Supercomputing Centres

At this year’s Supercomputing Asia (27.02.-2.03.2023, Singapore), the largest HPC conference held in Asia, the global cooperation within the Alliance of Supercomputing Centres (ASC) was inaugurated. Poznan Supercomputing and Networking Center is among the nine members of supercomputing centres from around the world.

The Supercomputing Asia conference has been organized since 2012 in cooperation with supercomputing centres from Australia, Japan, Singapore and Thailand, under the auspices of the National Supercomputing Centre (NSCC) in Singapore. Every year, the event has attracts many scientists and engineers, as well as representatives of the business world. This year’s edition was held under the theme “Sustainable Supercomputing for a Greener Future.”

During the event, a meeting of the Alliance of Supercomputing Centre group was inaugurated, which was attended by the Deputy Director of PSNC – Krzysztof Kurowski, PhD, The joint cooperation was declared by RIKEN-CCS (Japan), CSC-IT (Finland), SDSC (USA), NCI (Australia), Pawsey (Australia), ThaiSC (Thailand), KAUST (Saudi Arabia) and NSCC (Singapore). The group’s mission will be to carry out joint projects, share experience, as well as to coordinate and collaborate on the global challenges posed to large HPC centers by science, economy and society.
