The Marshal Office of the Wielkopolska Region promotes the REGIONAL COVID-HUB project

The Institute of Bioorganic Chemistry of the Polish Academy of Sciences and Poznan Supercomputing and Networking Centre developed free educational materials to help carry out an information campaign on COVID-19 prevention among students. This activity is a reponse to the guidelines of the Ministry of Education and Science concerning the COVID-19 preventive vaccination campaign in schools for students aged 12-18 years, as well as the demand of schools to modify the school educational and preventive programme with content related to the COVID-19 prevention and infectious disease prophylaxis.

The main objective of the REGIONAL COVID-HUB project is the implementation of two main tasks:

  • development of biomedical and epidemiological data sources,
  • data processing and sharing with the use of e-services.

The Marshal Office of the Wielkopolska Region in Poznan actively joined the promotion of the project. During the press conference, attended by Marshal Paulina Stochniałek, Director of the Institute of Bioorganic Chemistry of the Polish Academy of Sciences – Professor Marek Figlerowicz and the Technical Director of PSNC – Krzysztof Kurowski, Ph.D., the educational scenarios compliant with the general education curriculum were presented. The materials were prepared by expert teams as auxiliary materials for teachers of biology lessons and to support COVID-19 educational lessons.

The scenarios were divided according to three thematic blocks:

The materials are available (in Polish language version) on the project website: https://wlkp.covidhub.pl/edukacja/.
