Welcome to the PPAM 2024 Conference

Welcome to the PPAM 2024 Conference

The 15th edition of the international conference “Parallel Processing and Applied Mathematics” (PPAM 2024) will be held in Ostrava, Czech Republic, from 8 to 11 September 2024, during which the Workshop on Advancements of Global Challenges Applications (AGCA), co-founded by PSNC, will be organised.

Global Challenges (GCs) define problems that, due to their inherent complexity, require interdisciplinary expertise and high-level solutions. GCs aim to define the synergies between modelling, data acquisition, simulation, data analysis and visualisation, and to achieve better application scalability on current and future HPC and AI infrastructures to deliver solutions that can effectively exploit pre-exascale systems.

The AGCA workshop, an initiative of the Centres of Excellence (CoE) funded by the EuroHPC JU, is a forum to discuss ideas for the development of large-scale simulation applications to meet GC requirements, with a particular focus on their scalability, performance and co-design.

Interested parties are invited to submit previously unpublished papers by 5 May 2024. Authors of the best papers, selected by the programme committee, will be invited to submit extended versions of their work for special issues of journals such as Future Generation Computer Systems, Int. Journal of High Performance Computing Applications, Concurrency and Computation: Practice and Experience.

The main organisers of the workshops are Marcin Lawenda, Ph.D., and Łukasz Szustak, Ph.D., Prof. of Częstochowa University of Technology. More information is available at: ppam.edu.pl.
