During 5 meetings, the participants focused on creative and critical reflection around interactive mechanisms used in the New Message installation. The meetings were conducted in the form of lectures and workshops. In the theoretical part, the texts from the field of new humanities (Clemens Apprich, Roy Ascott, McKenzi) were analysed under the supervision of a PhD student from the Institute of Theatre and Media Arts of Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznan. In the practical part, however, under the supervision of PSNC employees, new technological solutions were implemented, extending the possibilities of interaction of the created installation.
In the series under the supervision of Paweł Soloducha (PSNC Future Labs), a prototype of a system recognising the sign language alphabet was created based on the Leap Motion sensor. Marcin Wałęsa (PSNC New Media Department) together with the participants created a web application allowing text communication with the installation and Jan Skorupa (PSNC Future Labs) implemented the created prototypes in the interactive system. All activities were completed together with the workshop participants. As a result, the installation was included in the permanent exhibition of the Wro Art Center collection.

Summary of the project “Internet-based Platform for Advice and Decision Support in Integrated Plant Protection”

In April this year, the second edition of the INFRAG expert group was established. It is an independent group of experts, operating at EuroHPC, whose task is to define long-term plans for the development of infrastructure for advanced computing (HPC), including the requirements for the data infrastructure and associated services. Since 24th of February Poles across the country are helping refugees from Ukraine. After barbaric russian attack, we could not remain indifferent to the fate of people wronged by war. That's why we have made some of our office spaces available as temporary accommodation places. Currently three ukrainian families founfd shelter in the PSNC building at Zwierzyniecka street. We host 16 people, including 10 children, the youngest of whom is only a few months old... Our friends fled from Odessa and Zhytomyr.
SSHOC partners and stakeholders are coming together on 6 and 7 April in Brussels and online for the SSHOC Final Conference titled “Advancing SSH Research with SSHOCingly good and sustainable Resources”. A year of challenges for Polish industry - this is the motto of the second edition of the Industry Next Congress accompanying the ITM Industry Europe - Digital Era Industry Fair, which will last from May 31 to June 3, 2022. The first day of the event will feature panel discussions, while the second day will be filled with practical workshops. The programme of digital twin and AI in industry workshops is created with the support of Poznan Supercomputing and Networking Center - the strategic partner of the event.

The aim of the cyclical event is to solve real technological and business problems of Polish companies.
The Impact Conference is not only a space for industry talks and discussions which have a real impact on the future. It is a unique place where business, science, modern technologies and public administration meet. Representatives of the world's largest brands joined the two-day discussion. Warnings about weather breakdowns, pests and hazards in the field, quick contact with an agricultural advisor and advice on when and how much to apply plant protection products - these are just some of the advantages of the "Virtual Farm" e-service, which will be available within the eDWIN advisory platform.
For people with profound intellectual and multiple disabilities (PIMD), interaction with the environment is not so easy. In most cases, they are probably dependent on family and caregivers to carry out even basic functions due to severe physical and sensory impairments. And if their communication is not through conventional symbols and at the pre-verbal level, this makes life even more difficult. Such people will be supported by the INSENSION platform, co-created by PSNC.
Audioplays are re-entering the stage in a new form and becoming a window to the world for the blind and visually impaired. PSNC has commenced collaboration with the Special Education Center for Blind Children [Polish: Ośrodek Szkolno-Wychowawczy dla Dzieci Niewidomych] in Owińska, Poland, to present the pupils with two ambisonic (360°-sound) audioplays. Ambisonic sound imitates authentic sound distribution in space, which enables the listener to fully immerse and actively participate in the performance.
As part of the NLPQT project, PSNC launched the first test connection of the system for distribution of the optical carrier at the end of January (optical reference frequency generated by optical clocks), i.e. ultra-precise and ultra-stable frequency standard. The system is also being developed thanks to close cooperation with the Nicolaus Copernicus University in Torun and the AGH University of Science and Technology in Krakow.
