PLATON project at the eChellenges e-2010 Conference

On one of the stands are presented services of Platform for e-Science – PLATON, which is one of the largest projects in the PIONIER network.
EChalleneges e-2010 Conference is an educational event. This year’s event is already the 20th meeting, which regularly attracts over 500 participants from government, commercial and scientific and research organizations from around the world. Its idea is to promote the new trends and solutions in the field of Internet technologies used in different areas. What is important, the conference promotes the scientific environment of the host country.

The conference meets the expectations of diverse audiences. During the meetings, discussions and lectures the issues are related to computerization processes of the management of the State and its institutions, as well as the information society, or the use of computer technology in various areas of the economy.
Platform for e-Science – PLATON is not the only PIONIER Consortium’s project presented during this year’s Conference. On the first day of eChallenges e-2010 the representatives of Poznań Supercomputing and Networking Center presented the substance of multimedia content network distribution: Ph.D. Cezary Mazurek („Information Society in Poland: Content Delivery Network for Live and On-Demand Video Services and Interactive Television”) and Marcin Werla („eInfrastrucutres in Poland: Federation of Digital Libraries in PIONIER Network”).
This year’s meeting is supported by the European Commission, the Ministry of Sports and Tourism of the Republic of Poland, Warsaw Convention Bureau and Convention Bureau of Poland.
