The 49/2022 issue of “Polityka” weekly featured an article prepared by the National Information Processing Institute (OPI) on several projects from the Polish Roadmap for Research Infrastructures: PRACE-LAB, NLPQT, DARIAH. Two of these projects – PRACE-LAB and DARIAH – are coordinated by the Poznan Supercomputing and Networking Center. PSNC is also a partner in the NLPQT project.
It is worth noting that the three PRACE-LAB supercomputing systems installed in Gdansk, Poznan and Cracow are continuously present on the lists of the fastest computers in the world TOP500 and the most energy-efficient systems – Green500 since 2020.
PRACE-LAB services have been deployed in Poland and serve scientific users and economic customers. The European Commission’s requirement regarding the use of research infrastructure in the economy has already been met this year.
The project was also appreciated as the best solution of 2021 in the “innovative implementations” category at the EcoConnect conference.

Announcement of the new map of NATO Defence Innovation Accelerators under the DIANA programme

On 14 March 2024, a new map of test and accelerator areas under the NATO's Defence Innovation Accelerator for the North Atlantic (DIANA) programme was announced. The PSNC AerospaceLab in Kąkolewo is one of dozens of locations already selected in the North Atlantic Alliance for test centres (DIANA Test Centres). A new Polish contribution to the programme is the AGH University of Krakow, which together with the Krakow Technology Park will jointly run a branch of the NATO Defence Innovation Accelerator (Krakow DIANA Accelerator).
