PRACE-LAB and NDS working meeting

PRACE-LAB and NDS working meeting

PRACE-LAB Summit 2022 is the first edition of the meeting, bringing together both users and providers of advanced computing services within the PRACE-LAB project. On October 24 and 25, a project meeting was held at the headquarters of the Poznan Supercomputing and Networking Center, while the following two days were devoted to the Users’ meeting.

The overall objective of the PRACE-LAB project is to increase the competitiveness of the scientific community and the economy, with particular emphasis on SMEs, on international markets. Through the implementation of development work, it is planned to improve the position of the Polish ICT sector by supporting and strengthening the development of innovative solutions. The direct objective of the project is to build a widely available HPC infrastructure (High Performance Computing) consisting of high-performance computing servers, specialised processing units and flexible data management systems, and to provide scientific units and companies with services based on this infrastructure for research and development as well as commercial activities.

The first edition of the PRACE-LAB Summit hosted at the PSNC headquarters is an opportunity to present the scientific achievements created with the help of advanced infrastructures, exchange experiences and learn about the functioning of the largest computing systems in the country from behind the scenes.

The event consists of two meetings: a Project meeting, devoted to technical discussion between scientific and research units of the PRACE-LAB consortium, and a Users’ meeting dedicated to scientists using PRACE-LAB computing infrastructure across Poland.
