Starting from today up to October 22, residents of Poznan can vote for projects under this year’s Poznan Civic Budget. This year PLN 22 million is to be allocated, which is a million more than a year ago. The changes also apply to the rules of voting. As in previous years, the technological aspect of the project is carried out by PSNC.
This year the voting under the Poznan Civic Budget will be held for the 10th time. Since the beginning of the Budget creation, PSNC has been its technological partner. Every resident of Poznan can vote – there are no age restrictions or the requirement to be the citizen of our city. Everyone can cast a maximum of 4 votes: 2 votes for general city projects (including one under the Green Budget) and 2 votes for district projects.
The list of projects is available on the Budget website. Finally, 150 projects were put on the voting list – 25 city-wide, 11 under the Green Budget and 114 district projects. An important change that has been introduced to this year’s voting is an additional method of verification. Confirmation of voting during voting will be executed using an SMS code. Such a solution was introduced earlier in many other cities, such as Kraków, Katowice, Łódź and Wrocław. What’s important is that one phone number will have up to 5 verification codes assigned to it, which will make it possible to cast a vote. This means that 5 different people can vote from one number. A person can ask for access to a mobile phone to which the code will be sent, e.g. someone from your family. What about people who don’t have a mobile phone? They can vote at the Poznan City Hall, at pl. Kolegiacki 17.
Voting is conducted digitally in the service of Poznan Civic Budget 2022. The results will be published by November 5.
