PSNC supports the Polish Combinatorial Conference

The eighth edition of the event was originally intended to take place in the Będlewo Conference Center. The organizers, due to the prevailing coronavirus epidemic, decided to move the conference to the network. The 8th Polish Combinatorial Conference takes place on the ClickMeeting platform with technical support offered by PSNC.

The first conference of this series was held in 2006 under the name “Poznań-Zielona Góra Workshop on Combinatorics”, he next ones are held every two years under the name of “Polish Combinatorial Conference”.

The conference is organized by the Stefan Banach International Mathematical Center, AGH University of Science and Technology, Warsaw University of Technology, Jagiellonian University in Kraków, Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań and the University of Warsaw. In total, 140 participants from all continents have registered for this year’s edition.

The aim of the conference is to present and integrate the Polish combinatorial environment and its confrontation with the world leaders in this field.

On the second and fourth day of the virtual meeting there will be workshops for (not only) students, led by Shagnik Das (Freie Universitat Berlin) and Michał Pilipczuk (University of Warsaw). The results of the “Open Mind” competition (sixth edition) for the best Polish young mathematician in the field of broadly defined combinatorial science will be an important event during the conference.
