TNC 2013 – the largest conference of academic and scientific networks in Europe – this year will be hosted in Maastricht (Netherlands). On 3-6 June 2013, the latest developments in research projects related to networking will be presented. All of the events will be accompanied by the television crew of “PlatonTV” from the Poznan Supercomputing and Networking Center (Poland).

TERENA Networking Conference (TNC) is the largest and most prestigious conference of scientific and academic networks in Europe. Each edition brings together over five hundred participants, professionals and managers from major networks in Europe, as well as research organizations, universities and industry as a whole. Through lectures of eminent experts, discussions and sessions, TNC 2013 participants review the latest developments in the field of research networks, both in the technical field and in the use and management of the network. The conference is an opportunity to meet those who work during the year on joint research projects. It is also a time of plans and summaries, comparisons of results and presentation of scientific achievements within the national networks.

This year, the TNC will be hosted by the Dutch Research and Education Network – SURFnet, providing connectivity to all Dutch universities, higher education institutions and research institutes. SURFnet participates in a number of pioneering international projects, working in the educational network for the development of the Netherlands.

Highlights of this year’s TERENA will be registered by “PlatonTV” team from the Poznan Supercomputing and Networking Center. Using the service of scientific HD PLATON TV project, the team will produce video materials, and the specially prepared for the occasion TV studio will carry out interviews and conversations with guests and conference participants. The broadcasting van will also be presented during the Conference.
