The AIM2ASSIST project meets the needs of business

Digital transformation era makes companies recognize more of their needs, which often are very specific for a given market. AIM2ASSIST strive to be an answer to one of these specific needs.

AIM2ASSIST aims to address the problem of inefficiency in “lot-size-one” production caused by the lack of access to modern manufacturing process management tools. SMEs often do not have sufficient human and financial resources that could be invested in the development and implementation of tools that automate and optimize the planning and forecasting of the production process.

AIM2ASSIST introduces a deep neural network predictive model based on a dedicated neural architecture using convolutional neural units (CNN). MASTA combines this solution with two other components whose role will be to generate data for the AI tool. Everything will be implemented into the MOM system created by MASTA. The project is an experiment that is intended to help build and validate the Proof-of-Concept in a real operating environment in the metallurgical industry.

The project is financed on an FSTP basis by the DIH4AI project under the European research and innovation program Horizon 2020 – Grant No. 101017057.
