During the meeting inaugurating the activity of the first Regional Future Industry Council in Poland, its presidium was elected. Among the members of the Wielkopolska Region Council are entrepreneurs, scientists, and local government officials. The Director of PSNC, dr Cezary Mazurek was appointed to the position of Vice-Chairman.

As part of the PRACE-LAB project, an agreement was signed to build a national infrastructure for parallel computing and data infrastructure. The created infrastructure will provide its services in the national public cloud and private data and processing cloud. PSNC, as a national academic computing center and operator of metropolitan area networks, is one of the project members.

The first version of the SSH system was officially launched on June 30 in a dedicated session at the annual ICTeSSH conference. The graphic design and the server part (backend) of the system were developed to a large extent by PSNC.

Due to the prevailing coronavirus epidemic, this year’s electronic enrollment in educational institutions in the Nabor system was different from the previous ones. The system was implemented, among others in nurseries in Warsaw and Wroclaw, where recruitment is carried out continuously and throughout the year.

After three years of cooperation, the Immersifyproject is coming to an end. Some of the project’s results were demonstrated one last time in a live stream from Poland to Austria on June 17th, concluding the developing phase of the project. While Immersifyofficially ended with a panel at Festival de Cannes’ Marché du Film–Cannes XR, which was being held virtually due to the Coronavirus pandemic, the project partners are continuing their research on future developments in the field of immersive media.
