For three days (September 13-15, 2022), the capital of Iceland – Reykjavik hosted the participants of the 31st NORDUnet Conference – organised by he national research and education networks in Scandinavia. Once again, Poznan Supercomputing and Networking Center was the technological partner of the event, supporting all the plenary sessions.

After almost 90 years, the International Congress of Historical Sciences once again came to Poland, this time the host of the event was Poznan. The one-week Congress (21-27.09.2022) was technologically supported by PSNC, and the accompanying exhibition presented projects and services for communities related to the humanities.

On August 25 2022, the topping-out ceremony for the construction of a hangar for unmanned aerial vehicles took place at the airport in Kakolewo. The hangar, together with laboratory and research facilities, is being built as part of the project ‘Aerosfera. Airport of things’, co-financed by the Marshal’s Office of the Wielkopolska Region with financement from the Wielkopolska Operational Programme 2014-2020 of the European Regional Development Fund.

We invite you to the 9th edition of the technology competition, which is organised for the first time in the form of a multidisciplinary contest. We are talking about Droniada 2022, which will start on June 25 and will last until the end of the month. PSNC is a co-organiser of this event.

On June 21, 2022 in the seat of Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development the gala of the “Intelligent Agriculture” competition organized for students of departmental agricultural schools was held. The event began with speeches by representatives of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, Intel Corporation and Poznan Supercomputing and Networking Center.

After a two-year break due to a pandemic, Europe’s largest research and education networking conference returns in its traditional, stationary format. TNC 2022 will be hosted in the Italian city of Trieste. Traditionally, the conference is accompanied by an exhibition, during which PSNC and the PIONIER Consortium will present current projects and initiatives.

We invite you to the last Open PSNC Seminar before summer holidays. Dr Jennifer Edmond from Trinity College Dublin, The University of Dublin will present her lecture entitled: “Open isnt Open Unless it is Open for All: Digital Humanities and Open Science Challenges for eInfrastructure”.

This coming Saturday, June 11, we would like to invite you to the Old Zoo in Poznan for the second edition of Neighbourhood Inspirations. This year’s topics will focus on health and ecology. We invite everyone who implements any interesting project locally and wants to develop valuable initiatives.

The session entitled “Exploiting the opportunities of the European Open Science Cloud to SMEs” will take place on Friday, June 3 at 14:30-16:30 as part of the Data Week 2022. It will be an introduction to the main mechanism of the EOSC DIH as well as the presentation of data services offered by EOSC related projects. We warmly invite you to join this extraordinary event.

We invite you to the next PSNC Open Seminar, which will be held on June 6, 2022 at 14:30. This time the speaker – Dr Zoe Cournia from Biomedical Research Foundation Academy of Athens, will present the topic: “High Performance Computing for Computer-Aided Drug and Materials Design”. The seminar will be available online via the Webex platform.

On June 1-3, 2022, the National Museum in Poznan will host a conference that attempts to present the achievements of Polish museums over the past century. This event will include debates, meetings and study visits to the branches of the National Museum in Poznan, including the National Museum of Agriculture and Agro-Food Industry in Szreniawa. PSNC, as the technological partner of the event, will conduct a live broadcast of conference sessions and provide multimedia services.

A year of challenges for Polish industry – this is the motto of the second edition of the Industry Next Congress accompanying the ITM Industry Europe – Digital Era Industry Fair, which will last from May 31 to June 3, 2022. The first day of the event will feature panel discussions, while the second day will be filled with practical workshops. The programme of digital twin and AI in industry workshops is created with the support of Poznan Supercomputing and Networking Center – the strategic partner of the event.
