The second part of the technological cooling system equipment delivery took place at the Technology Halls Building of the Polish Optical Internet Research Center (CBPIO). Thanks to the extension of the cooling capacity, the building will be equipped with two cooling circuits with a capacity of 1.2 MW each, thanks to which it will be possible to ensure a high level of availability of equipment cooled classically by air with the use of a refrigerant.

On 26 May 2023, Integrale IT, as part of the implementation of Contract No. 131/PCSS/2023 dated 13.03.2023, delivered to the CBPIO Technology Rooms Building, elements of the long-term data storage system related to the implementation of the project “National Data Storage (NDS). Universal infrastructure for sharing, storage and effective processing of large data volumes in HPC, Big Data and Artificial Intelligence models”.

Thanks to the expansion of the cooling capacity, the building will be equipped with two cooling circuits with a capacity of 1.2 MW each, so that it will be possible to ensure a high level of availability of equipment classically cooled with air using a refrigerant.

As a result of the recertification, the Poznan Supercomputing and Networking Center has extended the provision of its services in accordance with ISO27001 and ISO9001 for the next three years. The audit was conducted on April 12-14 by TUV NORD. In addition to the existing services, the scope has been extended to include the provision of services in the area of data centers for both information security and quality control.

The Regional Covid-Hub project, jointly implemented by the Local Government of the Wielkopolska Region, the Institute of Bioorganic Chemistry of the Polish Academy of Sciences and the Poznan Supercomputing and Networking Center, has been qualified for the final round of the DT4REGIONS Award competition and has a chance to win the grand prize. The winner will be selected by online voting.

The GÉANT Community Award has been awarded since 2012 for an outstanding contribution to the joint activities of the community focused around national research and education networks and for the development of services and new technologies. At this year’s Supercomputing Asia (27.02.-2.03.2023, Singapore), the largest HPC conference held in Asia, the global cooperation within the Alliance of Supercomputing Centres (ASC) was inaugurated. The illuMINEation project has just passed the halfway point and entered an advanced stage of development of digital services for the mining industry. This modern platform has developed interesting use cases, such as smart sensors and the use of drones inside mine galleries. As part of the EU’s Horizon Europe research and innovation program, the DATAMITE project – “Data Monetization, Interoperability, Trading & Exchange” – has been launched.
